The Vietnam War: Learning to Care, Caring to Learn:

An educator discovered that the upcoming generation of college students lacked an understanding of the Vietnam War.  The link below takes you to the educational site he created.  Prepare for a moving experience!

The Vietnam War: Learning to Care, Caring to Learn

-------------

Books and Speakers Bureau in Local Schools:

In 2005 VVA Chapter 102 purchased 13 copies of "NAM, A Photographic History" by Leo J. Daugherty and Gregory Louis Mattson.  In an effort to contribute to the education of our students, we have presented a copy to each school we have visited. At these opportunities, Chapter 102 members have talked about their experiences during the Viet Nam War and done their best to answer student questions about their experiences while in country.

-------------

A Brief Program of Still Photographs:

For those who were not in the Vietnam War, the link below wll take you to an emotionally moving program of black & white photographs assembled to try to help portray a small part of what our men and women in uniform "in country" suffered through.

-------------

The David Dewett Veterans Memorial:

Point Man Ministries Outpost 101 has built a Veterans Memorial, and named it in honor of their fallen member, David Dewett .  It's just north of the McCullough Bridge in Newport Oregon.  It's made up of several monuments inscribed with words of famous Americans, and Chapter 102 member Nicholas James Weber, Poet Warrior.
